Announcing the Filamentone Print Contest Winners!

Our Filamentone.com Print Contest just wrapped up and we had some incredible entries many of which made use of multiple materials or paints. Check out our Honourable Mentions and Top 3 Winners below! 30 randomly selected winners will be receiving an email from us shortly with instructions to redeem a free roll of PLA from filamentone.com.

Honourable Mentions

BB8 Droid by Kijai

Kijai didn’t have access to multiple materials so they broke out the paints instead. Great job with printing and the weathered look on the final model!

Low-Poly Squirtle, Multi-Extrusion Edition by FLOWALISTIK

This is a variation of FLOWALISTIK’s Low-Poly Pokemon that enables multi-extrusion. He did a great job using 3 different materials to produce this final model.

2016 Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP RC Motorcycle by timrsills

Timrsills did a great job reproducing this RC Motorycycle by Brett Turnage. We’re excited to see everything put together with the rider and electronics included!

3rd Place

3D Printed Mechanical Clock with Anchor Escapement by ianbroady

This incredibly clock designed by TheGoofy is actually fully functional using a complex array of coils and gears. Ianbroady did a great job illustrating the design with a number of different materials.

2nd Place

Elite Knight – Dark Souls by eero_lunnikivi

We were blown away by the intricate painting on this Elite Knight design. Eero’s win of a roll of Nylon CF15 and PLA is well deserved!

1st Place

2016 Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP RC Motorcycle by brett turnage

If you haven’t done so already, you should absolutely check out the design pages for Brett’s RC Motorcycles to see videos of them in action. He did an awesome job with the design, print, and electronics and won himself both a 3D Printing Pen and roll of PLA filament.

Thanks to all who entered. Stay tuned for a new print contest or check out our Character Design Competition!
