This week, our Character Design Contest closed and the winners have just been announced! We’re featuring a number of great entries from the contest as well as a few impressive functional designs. 

Mr. Anatomi by Koom

This incredibly clever design is printed on the Formlabs Form 2 in a single material. Koom has created cavities that are then filled with colored resin to produce the final model. 

Sana the Samurai by Juan Puerta

We were blown away by the detail on this Samurai design by Juan Puerta. A great model for showing off the resolution of your printer that we enjoyed making in Matte Grey Resin. Tweet at us with your new designs and we might print them for next week!

Mechanical Counter by Woodenclocks

This mechanical counter is almost entirely printed and fully functional. Press down on the green bar to iterate by one and go up to 999. Check out this video of it in action!

Taco Train by Abuzz Designs

This taco train is a great evolution of the popular Taco Truck design by Mizunoslove. We were really impressed with the print quality from Abuzz Designs!

thINC | Table & Pendant Lights by VOOD

VOOD designed this model to print directly on platform for SLA printers though it should work for FDM as well. If you need to dial in your retraction settings, look no further. 

Walabot FX Guitar Effect Control by daveyclk

This electronics project by daveyclk detects the position of your guitar in 3D space to produce different effects. Check out his video of it in action as well as a full assembly tutorial on Hackster.io.
