Pinshape Featured Designs – May 19th
This week, we’re excited to announce a new Mechanical Design Contest where we’ll be awarding a Formlabs Form 2 as the top prize! We’ve also teamed up with Formlabs to launch the Design Awards Powered by Pinshape where you can give back to your favorite designers. We’ve a number of great designs to feature which can serve as inspiration for your design contest entry or make for great prints in an upcoming print contest.
Space Invader Planter by Jeremy Quandt
This would make for a great print on a dual-extrusion machine and we gave it a go using Formlabs’ Matte Grey Resin. A quick print for your weekend to house your ever expanding succulent collection.
NeoPixel LED Truck Riser for Skateboard Longboard by Adafruit
Adafruit’s Truck Riser design allows you to spice up your skateboard or long board. It’s seats between the truck and board and the LEDs are controllable via Bluefruit. Check out Adafruit’s tutorial to make your own!
Pokeball fidget spinner by 3DFazz
As bearing supplies dwindle in the post-spinner era, makers are forces to resort to more economical spinners using just one bearing. This Pokeball spinner makes for a quick and easy print for hours of entertainment.
Low-poly Rose Twist Vase by riskable
This is a great design for testing out the vase mode setting in many newer slicers. It makes for a quick and easy print that’s great for showing off and you can use a nylon filament or seal it with an epoxy to make a functional vase.
Clay Pot Plant Hanger by WiseDT
These Clay Pot Hangers can easily be printed directly on your build platform and transform your wall into a lush green display. They’re designed to grip tightly onto clay pots and be suspended from i-hooks.
