MakerTron Arduino Smart Flight Suit by shookdesign
This design covers a couple things I love; MakerTrons and electronics! This is the first and only entry in the MakerTron Design Contest (as of now) that incorporates electronics, and it does a great job of it. Justin’s really gotten into the spirit of the contest, scoping out future electronics upgrades, all while keeping the printable sections easy to print without supports. If you haven’t checked out his other work, make sure to check out his portfolio of easy to print, useful designs!

Fingerboarder
Fingerboards were a big hype in the late 90s. Everyone at school had them. It’s fun to think how kids in the future might be able to print most of their toys. I’m looking forward to printing this and testing how well it maneuvers!

3D cube puzzle toys by yvan_proteau
Looking at the design’s main image, I thought “Hmm, this might be kind of zen to stack and play with absentmindedly at your desk”. But when I saw the other images of the different permutations, my brain went into “I want it, I want it, I want it” mode! This puzzle toy set would make a nice waiting room pastime, or if you’re like me who keeps a Rubik’s cube on my coffee table, it’ll be an awesome thing to keep your hands busy when you’re contemplating your life choices. Or of course, this would make an excellent gift to your favourite nieces or nephews 🙂

Lover of the Light
It’s only Autumn, but I can feel winter is coming. I can’t help but get a little sad at the shorter days and longer nights that’ll come with winter. Luckily, toolmoon has the coolest portfolio of 3D printable lampshades! No seriously, please check them out. My favourite out of the bunch so far is this elegant looking flower lamp 🙂

Labrador Bust by tanya Wiesner
This Labrador Bust is really nice. Looks almost like a real Labrador. I love dogs, I’m ready to stroke and hug them all day long. But I don’t have my own, because I simply have no space for one right now. So this beautiful print will be a good reminder to work hard to have my own apartment and finally have a dog.

Where are my keys?
Wallet Wall Mount by superneojk
I’m probably not the only person that keeps misplacing my house keys and being late because they’re nowhere to be found. This design by superneojk can help overcome this frustration. Not only does it keep your keys in a safe place, it can also hold your wallet!

With headphones
Head Phone Cord Fish by Doc Biber
Do you remember putting your head phones into a pocket and they’re a snafu after a while? If you do remember such cases, you’ll probably find this design useful. A nice idea that makes your life easier.

Budding yogi
I like these little guys. I think I would like to put them up around my workspace to remind me of how *not* zen I am being when approaching deadline. I tried yoga a few times and it was pretty difficult; I think it would be much easier to print out these guys and let them do the contorting for me 🙂
