Pinshape Featured Designs – March 31st

The Envision The Future Design Challenge is live where you can win a Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer. If you’re more into printing than modelling, use any of these featured designs as entries into the MakerGeeks Print Contest which closes in less than 24 hours!

Twist Vases by Desktop Makes

This design is meant to be printed with one shell or in ‘vase mode’ and the two components slide seamlessly over top each other. Check out the video by Desktop Makes to see them in action!

March of Robots 2017 – March 19th Robot by Piggyson

March of Robots is named as such because Piggyson is creating a new design for each day of the month. We printed a few of them for this week’s header image and are looking forward to seeing more on Pinshape!

Spider Coasters by yklein23

These models use a sort of mix between spider web and voronoi design algorithms. They’re easily printed directly on the platform and can be used for anything from coasters to phone holders.

Low Poly Rose by kijai

This Low-Poly rose makes for a great gift in a pinch. With adequate layer cooling, this design can be printed without support structures.

Adafruit Feather Box Enclosure by Adafruit

The feather is a versatile development board designed by Adafruit. This design is great for anyone that desires to enclose their electronics in a box and the full tutorial for this project can be found here.

SD Card Spinneroo by Savage Rodent

This spinneroo is multi-functional; serving as both a container for SD cards and as a sort of rotating fidget spinner. 20 slots should start to get a hold on our increasingly sizable collection of rogue SD cards.

That’s all for this week! Print any of these designs for the MakerGeeks Print Contest to win Crystal Series PLA.
